From the beautiful region of Anxi with its parks and temples, this tea is known as Ti guan yin or ‘Iron Goddess’ and its big oily leaves gently unfurl as it brews.
Fragrant and complex with creamy undertones of iron-rich vegetables and a smooth orchid-like aftertaste. The brew is the colour of sunflowers with a hint of olive, bright and clear.
Oolong tea is reflective and profound.
To brew: steep 1 tsp in 80C water for 3 mins
