Pu'erh tea is named after the city in Yunnan Province where it is made. Fermented and aged, it is a highly valued tea in China, where the processing methods have been a well-guarded secret for centuries.
Fermented and aged, it tastes of the earth, damp and woody. It is surprising light with a smooth, almost sweet aftertaste. The brew is really dark reddish brown liquor, rich and opaque.
Whole leaf tea leaves can be refreshed with more hot water when ready for another cup.
